Thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves. We are Christopher Mellon and Virgilio Alvarez, and together we own and operate Bon Casita Vacation Rentals. We would like to take a moment to elaborate on who we are, what we do, and why we hope that you will honor us with the opportunity to manage your Aruba property.
Christopher is a former Air Traffic Controller with the FAA, the last six years of which he was based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since he was a boy he has been traveling to Aruba and Bonaire, where his parents have called home for more than 20 years. Before semi-retiring, Christopher’s parents have also previously operated a successful hotel on Bonaire and a Property Management company in Aruba. Virgilio is a native of Puerto Rico, with a degree in accounting, and has managed and worked for his family’s banking technology and security company for the last 10 years.
Over the last several years, we have been fortunate to travel the world and make countless trips to Aruba, always staying in private rental homes that were managed by other companies. As time went by, we could not help but notice the general state of disrepair most of the properties in Aruba had fallen into, and how our requested dates were always available because of a wide-open reservation calendar. We thought to ourselves: “You know, if we were managing these properties, we could do it so much better.” That one idea started the ball rolling on what would become Bon Casita Vacation Rentals
Tapping our experiences as people who have stayed in dozens and dozens of private rentals as guests, our familiarity with Aruba, our mentor’s knowledge and guidance, our work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to be the absolute best in what we do, we have been working behind the scenes for the last year to start Bon Casita Vacation Rentals.
Over the past year, we have been putting in place our plans and procedures, so everything runs smoothly from day one, researching what other Aruba property management companies fail to do, or do poorly, and developing a retail strategy so that our owner’s homes generate as much income as possible, all while consistently achieving 5-star ratings from guests.
Our goal is clear: To provide our owner's homes with the same care, attention, and protection that we do for our own homes, all while maximizing the rental income potential of those homes. Bon Cas is not a real estate company that offers property management on the side. Property Management is all we do. Our owners will never come second.
